May: The Cochise County Historical Society initiates the first History Essay Contest, containing two categories, Adult and Student.
2020:
May 19: The Cochise County Historical Society creates the "Liz Ames Memorial Scholarship" and presents it to Cochise College.
2021:
November: The Cochise County Historical Society's new logo is officially adopted.
2022:
Feb. 19: A bronze plaque commemorating the Battle of Chiricahua Pass is unveiled by CCHS at an event at the Chiricahua Desert Museum near Rodeo, NM.
Aug. 13: The play "The Trial of Billy the Kid," co-produced by the Cochise County Historical Society, is presented at the Geronimo Events Center near Rodeo, NM.
Oct. 10: The 150th Anniversary of the Howard-Cochise Peace Treaty is commemorated at a CCHS event held in the Cochise Stronghold of the Dragoon Mountains.
Nov. 12: The play "The Trial of Billy the Kid," co-produced by the Cochise County Historical Society, is presented at Schieffelin Hall in Tombstone.
Dec. 17: A bronze plaque is dedicated honoring the 48 Medal of Honor recipients who have no known gravesites is held at the Veteran's Cemetery in Sierra Vista.
2023:
Early 2023: The Cochise County Historical Society publishes it's first book, Living in the Chiricahua Mountains by Esther Close, released by Eco Publishing.
May 6: The play "The Trial of Billy the Kid," co-produced by the Cochise County Historical Society, is held at the Ray Borane Middle School in Douglas.
Oct. 14: A tour of the Stained Glass Windows of Historic Churches is held in Bisbee.
2024:
April 20: A dedication ceremony commemorating the completion of Phase I of the Walnut Grove Campground is held at Camp Rucker, co-sponsored by the US Forest Service and the Cochise County Historical Society.
Aug. 24: The play "The Trial of Oliver Lee," co-produced by the Cochise County Historical Society, is presented in Hillsboro, NM.
